Polishing Pad Combo Kit
Details
Watch any top polisher and you will notice they swap pads more than others do. As you polish your pads get hot and clogged. Some top polishers use a pad a panel, we recommend swapping to a clean cool pad after about 1/4 of a car. Clean them the same day to make sure there is no polish inside the pads as this can dry and create hard spots. If you use more pads per job and swap them more often and clean them well they will last longer, your results will be better, faster, and you will save money and time.
This is why we don't sell 1 pad, we sell them in packs of 2 as that we think is the minimum you should have, but more is better. This kit has either 1 pack of each (2 of each pad) or 2 packs of each of our pads (4 of each pad), to cover you for Hard European paint, soft Asian paint, in between paint, and a really soft pad for a get out of jail finishing on tricky paint.
- his is why we have 2 pads per pack, Rockcar Blue Polishing Pads for Hard Paint (European)
- Rockcar Gold Polishing Pads for Soft Paint (Asian)
- Rockcar Purple Polishing Pads for Standard Paint
- Rockcar Black Polishing Pads for Finishing Difficult Paint
Twin pack - Size: Medium Fits 5”/125mm Backing plates Pad Size: 145mmx25mm
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pads must be matched to hardness of the paint: a. Hard paint (European) - rockcar blue b. Standard paint: rockcar purple c. Soft paint (Asian) - rockcar gold For deeper scratches sand to 2,000 grit first.
2. Start with 5-6 large pea sized dots, work it into the pad gently by hand or spreader. Recommend speeds: DA /Random Orbital: 2,000-10,000rpm. Rotary: 1,500 – 2,000 rpm
3. Reapply more polish as necessary, typically 1/5 of a bottle per car depending on condition and use. When finished Remove any polish residue with a soft and clean microfibre cloth.
4. For best results protect with rockcar futurecoat.
